Sir Neville Reginald Howse, V.C., K.C.B., K.C.M.G., F.R.C.S.", a bound inscribed reprint from the "Bulletin of the Post Graduate Committee in Medicine, University of Sydney", vol. 22, no. 11, Feb., 1967 containing the annual post-graduate oration given by Sir Kingsley Norris entitled: "Major-General Sir Neville Howse, V.C.", photograph album dating from 1910 with many photographs of his children including the future Lady Starr.

Sir Neville Reginald Howse, V.C., K.C.B., K.C.M.G., F.R.C.S., came to Australia in 1886 and practised medicine at Taree, N.S.W. and later at Orange, N.S.W. He had a notable military career winning the Victoria Cross during the Boer War and became Surgeon-General in the Australian Army Medical Services during World War I in 1915.
